As a strong believer in bodily autonomy and reproductive justice, I provide nurturing care that is inclusive and trauma-informed, centering the client and their unique needs and preferences.

With 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse on the Labor & Delivery unit at multiple high-volume NYC hospitals, as well as in birth center and home settings, I have had the honor of supporting hundreds of labors and births, both vaginal and surgical.

While working as a labor nurse, I became an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2022 and returned to school at NYU to obtain a Master’s of Science in Nursing, becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife in 2023.

As a proponent of bodily autonomy, I believe how you feed your infant is a deeply personal choice that should be made by no one other than you. I have had the pleasure of helping many parent-child duos get off to a strong start in their feeding journeys, whether they chose to breastfeed, chestfeed, bottle feed/pump, formula feed, or use human donor milk.

By sharing my knowledge of infant feeding in a way that is non-judgmental, engaging, and easy to digest, my goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident enough to enjoy the magic of your unique feeding journey.

I believe in expanding access to high-quality postpartum support and am excited to offer sliding-scale lactation services to you and your family.

Testimonials

  • Indigo approached being our lactation consultant with thoughtfulness and kindness. She did an in home consultation before we had our daughter and then continued to see us after our daughter was born. Indigo knew I wanted to breastfeed and while I was struggling with that post partum she helped try new ideas each time without forcefulness. She was resourceful and encouraged me to see the positives. She also made my husband feel very comfortable and educated about the feeding experience with a newborn. Her gentle approach was methodical and let me and my daughter feel comfortable with how we were approaching breastfeeding and defining success. Even after our final session Indigo followed up and answered questions over texts and calls. She was interested in more than just getting Reed to latch and that was above and beyond her calling as an IBCLC. She also framed our experience in the best way helping me see that everything we were doing with our daughter successful or unsuccessful was our daughter paving the way for a future sibling to have a great feeding experience as well if we are so lucky to have another child. We’re so grateful to have had Indigo in our home and part of our first parenting and feeding experience.

  • As a first time mother who planned to nurse, I was especially glad to have Indigo with her background in lactation consultation. At our prenatal visits Indigo and I developed rapport easily, she inquired about all the necessary developments of my pregnancy and tended to my endless questions, never making me feel even in the slightest bit rushed. At my babies birth she was a gentle but deeply supportive presence. Moments after my daughter was born I looked to her to help me with nursing positions, and she showed me how with tips that were so immensely helpful in the first days of parenthood. At our postnatal visits Indigo continued to counsel me on nursing, checked on the healing of my sutures she expertly did after birth, and made sure that I was well both mentally and physically. I am so grateful to have had Indigo’s care for the birth of my first child. If you’re looking for a midwife who is extremely competent and skilled, with a bright and comforting presence, look no further, she is the one!
